The Starbucks Foundation Supports Earthquake Relief Efforts in Panama
In response to the 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck Panama on October 9, The Starbucks Foundation has committed US$10,000 to World Central Kitchen to support immediate relief efforts and help address urgent needs in affected communities. Funding will support World Central Kitchen and its local partners in providing meals to earthquake-affected communities, helping families access food as recovery efforts continue.
Starbucks Panama – operated by Caribbean Coffee Traders Limited – is also supporting relief efforts through a customer donation drive benefiting community meal centers in Penonomé, collecting non-perishable food and other essential items in participating Starbucks Panama coffeehouses. Learn more on our Starbucks Panama Instagram channel, including how to participate.
