Starbucks Dominican Republic, operated by Green Star Partners, continues to bring the Starbucks Experience to new destinations across the market with the opening of its new coffeehouse at Bahía Príncipe Explore Punta Cana, located within the resort’s main lobby.

Designed to naturally reflect the tropical and relaxed character of Punta Cana, the new Third Place brings together Starbucks design with a concept inspired by the warmth, textures, and atmosphere of the Caribbean, creating a welcoming space for resort guests to connect and recharge throughout their stay.

The design proposal builds upon the hotel’s existing architecture, preserving the existing metal and walnut wood elements found throughout the lobby. These features were incorporated into the Starbucks concept as an integral part of the design, creating a seamless relationship between the new store and its surroundings. Walnut wood brings warmth, depth, and visual continuity throughout the space, while wicker panels positioned behind the bar introduce a lighter, handcrafted texture. Together, these materials create a welcoming and relaxed environment that draws subtle inspiration from tropical and Caribbean interiors while complementing the overall all-inclusive resort experience.

Despite its compact format, the coffeehouse includes a small lounge area where customers can enjoy their favorite beverages and take a moment to pause. This seating area reinforces Starbucks role as a welcoming place for connection and community, extending the experience beyond a purely transactional coffee stop.

“The new Starbucks Bahía Príncipe Explore Punta Cana represents a special opportunity to bring the Starbucks Experience to one of the Dominican Republic’s most important tourism destinations,” said Osvaldo Sazo, general manager of Starbucks Dominican Republic. “We wanted to create a Third Place that felt authentic to both Starbucks and Punta Cana, respecting the existing architecture while incorporating materials that naturally connect with the surrounding environment. The result is a warm and welcoming coffeehouse designed for our customers to enjoy Starbucks as part of their Caribbean experience.”

While the Starbucks coffeehouse will be located within the resort, purchases are not included as part of the resort’s all-inclusive package. Guests who choose to visit the coffeehouse may purchase Starbucks beverages and food items separately, offering an additional premium coffee experience during their stay.

With this opening, Starbucks continues to strengthen its presence in the Dominican Republic and expand to locations where customers can enjoy moments of connection, coffee, and community, bringing Starbucks to destinations that are an important part of the vibrant tourism landscape.

This milestone also brings Starbucks total to 17 coffeehouses across the Dominican Republic and grows its team to 200 partners (employees) in the market. The coffeehouse is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
