  • Starbucks Peru has ambitious plans to unveil six additional stores in the vibrant city of Lima and new regions during this year.

Lima, Peru – As part of its continued expansion plans in the market, Starbucks Peru – managed by licensed business operator Delosi – today announced more customers can enjoy the Starbucks Experience in a new store located in the city Juliaca. The brand also announced its plans to meet the evolving customer experience with a new El Ejercito Drive-Thru location in Lima’s San Isidro district.

The new Juliaca store is located in Real Plaza Shopping Center in San Román district in Puno and marks the 116th Starbucks store in Peru.

Starbucks designs its stores to enhance the human connection made over a cup of coffee and to reflect the communities it serves. The new 147.94m square foot Juliaca features a mural painting made by Henry Chram, a local artist, which captures the living essence and cultural traditions of the natives of Lake Titicaca in Peru and will provide a warm and welcoming experience for customers to enjoy high-quality arabica coffee and handcrafted beverages.

The Juliaca store is also certified as a Greener Store, meaning it adheres to Starbucks Greener Store Framework intended to reduce global carbon emissions, water usage and waste sent to landfills by 50% by 2030. The store features 100% LED interior and exterior lighting, grease filters, and the use of electricity instead of natural gas. It is also designed to reduce water consumption by 30% through a combination of a properly sized water heater, filters and low-flow plumbing fixtures. The store also features Starbucks hallmark Grounds for Your Garden initiative, where used coffee grounds are donated to customers, reducing waste.

Additionally, the new Drive-Thru location in Lima’s San Isidro district aims to meet customers’ needs of convenience, connection and personalization while creating new and meaningful experiences for them. With this new store, Starbucks aims to balance speed and quality while differentiating the customer experience. Located on Pérez Araníbar Avenue, the drive-thru store is specially designed to provide a unique on-the-go experience in a safe and familiar way, while continuing to elevate the Starbucks Experience in relevant ways to customers in Peru. This marks the second drive-thru store in Peru, following the opening of the Panamericana-Sur store in 2018.

“Starbucks has always been more than a coffee shop; it's a place that fosters connections and creates a warm, inviting space. Now, we are thrilled to bring this unique experience to Juliaca, celebrating not just coffee but the rich tapestry of our local culture. As we continue to cultivate connections, we're equally excited about our new Drive-Thru in Lima, marking a new era of convenience and community engagement. These two new stores reflect our unwavering commitment to crafting meaningful experiences, fostering connections, and celebrating the vibrant spirit of our community”, said Cristel Delgado, brand manager of Starbucks Peru.

Since Starbucks arrived in Peru in 2003 with its first store in Lima, it remains committed to its Peruvian customers. Starbucks, in partnership with Delosi, continues to expand in the market across the cities of Lima, Piura, Trujillo, Chiclayo, Cajamarca, Chimbote, Ica, Huancayo, Arequipa, Cusco and now Juliaca. In celebration of Starbucks 20th anniversary in Peru, the brand announced its plans to open six new stores in the cities of Lima and new regions during this year. With the launch of these new stores, Starbucks furthers its mission to nurture the limitless possibilities of human connection – with every cup, with every conversation, with every community.

The Juliaca city entry and San Isidro Drive-Thru store opening reinforce Starbucks Peru’s commitment to job creation and economic growth. Both stores will employ over 35 new green apron partners (employees).
