Starbucks Argentina Opens Its First Drive-thru Store in Nordelta

Located on Avenida Agustín M. García (Route No. 27), within Nordelta Shopping Center, the opening of this new store brings the Starbucks Experience to even more coffee fans and to new areas of Buenos Aires.

Buenos Aires, Argentina – As part of its ongoing market expansion plans, Starbucks Argentina, operated by authorized local business partner Alsea, announced the arrival of its first drive-thru store in Nordelta, in the northern part of Buenos Aires Province. The new location invites customers to enjoy Starbucks favorites, with the possibility of placing their order and picking it up from the comfort of their car.

"We are thrilled to bring the Starbucks drive-thru experience to the Nordelta community, enhancing and modernizing our presence in the area. Our design and architecture teams have created a space that highlights local artwork, natural light, and work areas where all our customers are welcome, fostering moments of connection around coffee," said Claudia Aburto, director of Starbucks in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay and Uruguay.

Starbucks designs its stores to enhance the human connection that is established with a cup of coffee. The new Starbucks store in Nordelta, designed by architect Victoria Odriozola, captures the essence of the Argentine Delta. It uses native materials such as jute and walnut wood and is decorated with art inspired by the flora and river of the Delta, creating a warm and authentic atmosphere.

The murals were made by local Argentine artist RoF Varela, who was inspired by the diversity of Nordelta, also integrating the coffee plant to unite these two worlds. The murals depict the white heron, blue tacuarita and monarch butterflies, three species native to the delta, as well as the cortaderas (feather plumes), passion flower, lilies, salvia guaranítica (violet plant) and Solidago (yellow).

Further to Starbucks commitment to design and operate sustainable spaces, this new store has charging stations for electric vehicles, a space for bicycle repair, and solar panels. “With the solar panels we contribute to the reduction of the carbon footprint by 10 tons of CO2, which would be between 15-18% of the annual consumption and expenditure of the store,” added Soledad Fantuzzi, marketing manager for Starbucks in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay and Uruguay.

Since Starbucks arrived in Argentina in 2008 with its first store in Buenos Aires, the company has maintained its commitment to its customers. The new Nordelta location marks Starbucks Argentina's 133rd store with more than 2,000 dedicated Starbucks Argentina partners (employees) proudly wearing the green apron throughout the market. The Nordelta store will also contribute to the local economy by creating job opportunities for 21 future Starbucks Argentina partners.

The new store, located at Av. Agustín M. García 8554, will be open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Fridays from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Take part in the Starbucks Experience by visiting one of the stores in the market or through the website www.starbucks.com.ar.
