Starbucks Supports Communities in Jamaica Impacted by Hurricane Melissa
In response to significant damage in Jamaica caused by Hurricane Melissa, The Starbucks Foundation has committed to donating to nonprofit organizations to support relief efforts for impacted communities.
The Starbucks Foundation is donating:
- US $20,000 to World Central Kitchen to provide nourishing meals to those impacted by the hurricane.
- US $20,000 to the American Red Cross to help where it’s needed most in coordination with the global Red Cross network.
- US $17,000 to Planet Water Foundationto mobilize AquaBlock Emergency Drinking Water Systems to provide clean, safe water for thousands of affected families.
