Starbucks Uruguay Offers Free Coffee for Voters on October 27

As part of the Starbucks Votes civic engagement campaign, customers can enjoy a complimentary short-sized Coffee of the Day at any Starbucks Uruguay store on Sunday, October 27, by mentioning that they fulfilled their civic duty and cast a vote.

Uruguay – In an effort to promote civic engagement, Starbucks Uruguay – operated by authorized licensed business partner Alsea – will support voters with a free coffee for fulfilling their civic duty through the Starbucks Votes campaign.

This initiative seeks to recognize partners (employees), customers, and community members who participate in the Uruguayan elections by offering a complimentary short-sized Coffee of the Day to all voters who stop by the nearest Starbucks Uruguay store on Sunday, October 27.

The offer will be available at all 17 Starbucks Uruguay stores from opening until closing on October 27. The promotion will also be available on Monday, October 28, for citizens serving as polling authorities upon presenting their identification.

“We are delighted to carry out this initiative in Uruguay as a show of appreciation for our community’s civic commitment,” said Soledad Fantuzzi, Starbucks marketing manager for Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay and Uruguay. “We have successfully driven this unprecedented initiative in other markets in the region, consistently receiving a positive response from participants who enthusiastically exercise their right to vote while enjoying a Starbucks coffee. We hope that, just like in other markets, this initiative becomes a tradition in Uruguay, allowing us to maintain a meaningful connection with our community.”
