Starbucks Brings New Digital Innovation to Mexico: Order Ahead and Pay

  • Starting today, Starbucks began to roll out in Mexico the company’s Order ahead and pay feature to 466 select stores in the country.
  • The new feature is exclusively available to Starbucks Rewards® loyalty program members through the Starbucks Mexico App, available for iOS® and Android™ devices.

MEXICO CITY - As part of Starbucks commitment to invest in creating digital customer experiences that extend the Starbucks Experience in its stores, Starbucks announces the availability of the Order ahead and pay feature in the Starbucks app in Mexico, available on iOS and Android devices, a new feature that allows Starbucks Rewards members to place and pay for their orders in advance of their visit and pick it up at a participating Starbucks® stores, thanks to the use of digital technology to address their needs for convenience and speed.

Starbucks® Order ahead and pay feature offers customers more autonomy in the way they consume, as each customer can choose when to order and where to pick up, at their earliest convenience. The new feature allows customers to choose a store from a map view, browse, select, and customize beverage and food items, and pre-pay for the order - all within the Starbucks® Mexico app.  Menu options highlight products available in participating stores, which are freshly prepared by our partners (collaborators) and ready for pick-up in the designated area from each store.

The new feature is exclusively available to Starbucks Rewards® loyalty program members through the Starbucks Mexico App, available for iOS® and Android™ devices nationwide. Thus, Starbucks® Order ahead and pay will also enable customers to earn stars.

To use Starbucks® Order ahead and Pay is simple: first get the Starbucks Mexico® App and sign up for Starbucks® Rewards program; then choose your Starbucks® Store Pickup location, then place your order and pay through Starbucks Mexico app; and finally pick up your order at the selected store.
