Starbucks Opens First Coffeehouse in Humacao
SStarbucks, operated in Puerto Rico by Baristas del Caribe, recently inaugurated its 36th store on the Island and the very first in the municipality of Humacao, located at Plaza Mall Shopping Center on PR-3. The new coffeehouse marks an important milestone for the brand as it expands its presence to the eastern region of Puerto Rico, reaffirming Starbucks commitment to local economic development and the creation of new job opportunities.
The coffeehouse represents a $1.3 million investment and generates 28 direct jobs, including baristas, supervisors and management positions. The 2,000-square-foot space integrates Starbucks signature design with elements that create a comfortable, modern, and inviting experience.

With this opening, we reaffirm our commitment to creating meaningful experiences for our customers and generating new employment opportunities for the region. As part of its customer offering, the coffeehouse features a Drive-Thru, allowing guests to enjoy their favorite beverages and food with added convenience. It also introduces digital menu boards, which enhance the ordering process with a more agile and intuitive experience.
The new Starbucks coffeehouse in Humacao operates from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Sundays, and from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
