Starbucks Brazil Announces Two New Coffeehouses with 30 More Expected for 2026
With two new locations opening in São Paulo and Curitiba this year and 30 more planned nationwide next year, the brand accelerates its growth in existing cities and deepens its long-term investment in Brazil.
São Paulo, Brazil -Starbucks — operated by ZAMP in Brazil —today announced the opening of two new coffeehouses by the end of December, reinforcing its commitment to the continuity and strengthening of its operations in the market. With openings at Curitiba International Airport and in the Pinheiros neighborhood in São Paulo, the brand reaches 112 coffeehouses in Brazil.
The new Curitiba International Airport coffeehouse opened on December 5, offering travelers convenient access to quality coffee from a kiosk located near the departure gates. The new coffeehouse in São Paulo, located at the corner of Pedroso Street and Pinheiros Street, is expected to open on December 30.
The coffeehouse openings align with Starbucks Brazil’s current momentum, marked by stronger operations and creating space for future growth opportunities. By 2026, Starbucks Brazil plans to open approximately 30 new coffeehouses, representing about a 30% increase in the national portfolio. The planned openings for next year will strengthen the brand’s presence in São Paulo, Curitiba, Rio de Janeiro, and other cities with high foot traffic, cultural significance and where the brand already operates.
“Our goal is to get even closer to our customers, offering convenience without compromising the quality and unique experience that define Starbucks. This expansion reflects our ongoing investment in Brazil and our confidence in the market’s potential. We are expanding our presence responsibly, with careful planning and a focus on the customer journey,” said Mariane Wiederkehr, president of Starbucks in Brazil. “A forecast of approximately 30 new coffeehouses in 2026 reinforces our strategy of steady growth in the cities where we are already present, bringing the brand closer to customers and creating more opportunities for connection in their daily lives,” she added.

Portfolio evolution
The strengthening of operations accompanies the brand’s recent movement in the market to deepen its connection with Brazilian culture. Recently, Starbucks Brazil launched the Cafézinho Brasileiro line, consisting of Cafézinho Puro (filtered, simple and local) and Café com Leite: Média (a balanced blend of half coffee and half milk that combines intensity and creaminess) and Pingado, inspired by the traditional way of drinking coffee in Brazil and prepared with Starbucks® Brazil Blend. The addition of these items to the menu reinforces the brand’s goal of translating its global expertise into experiences aligned with local habits, celebrating the unique relationship Brazilians have with coffee, and strengthening Starbucks cultural presence in the customers’ daily lives.
As Starbucks expands its retail presence in the market, the company remains deeply committed to supporting coffee farmers in Brazil through sustainable practices and long-term partnerships. Since 2021, the Starbucks Farmer Support Center in Varginha, Minas Gerais has served as a hub where agronomists work directly with producers to share open-source agronomy, sustainable practices, and technical guidance tailored to local environmental and social needs. By providing hands-on expertise, Starbucks helps farmers improve coffee quality and productivity while promoting ethical sourcing and environmental stewardship.
