Starbucks Single-Origin Puerto Rico Returns with New Packaging Celebrating the Island’s Cultural Diversity

San Juan, Puerto Rico - Starbucks, operated in Puerto Rico by Baristas del Caribe, is pleased to announce the launch of a packaging for its Starbucks® Single-Origin Puerto Rico whole bean coffee, paying tribute to the island’s rich culture and traditions.

Grown in the high mountains of seven coffee micro-regions in the central-western part of the island: Yauco, Maricao, Jayuya, Adjuntas, Lares, Utuado, and the coffee-growing area of Castañer, Starbucks® Single-Origin Puerto Rico features dense green beans cultivated in warm days and cool nights. This medium-bodied, low-acidity coffee boasts distinctive notes of coconut and cinnamon, capturing the smoothness and spirit of the region in every cup.

The packaging new design depicts vibrant colors and iconic Puerto Rican elements, including the Puerto Rican cuatro, the picturesque facades of Old San Juan, and the deep blue of the Caribbean Sea.

“Puerto Rico is an island with a coffee heritage dating back to the 18th century, and we are proud to celebrate this legacy with a coffee that encapsulates the essence of the island,” said Idis Ortiz-López, General Manager of Starbucks Puerto Rico. “The new packaging is not only a showcase of Puerto Rico’s vibrant culture but also a reflection of Starbucks commitment to the community and sustainability.”

Starbucks® Single-Origin Puerto Rico is an invitation to discover the unique flavors of this Caribbean Island and will be available in 250-gram (8.8 oz) bags in all market stores starting August 21.
