Starbucks Barbados Opens First Store in St. Philip

Starbucks One Six Roads in St. Philip becomes the 7th store in Barbados opened in partnership with Caribbean Coffee Baristas (Barbados) Limited: underscores commitment to job creation and growth in the market.

ST. PHILIP, BARBADOS– As part of its continued expansion in Barbados, Starbucks, in partnership with its operating licensee Caribbean Coffee Baristas (Barbados) Limited, today announced the unveiling of a new drive-thru store in Barbados, marking its seventh café and fourth drive-thru store on the island.

Situated in a newly developed shopping center in the thriving commercial district of One Six Roads, St. Philip, the 1,940 square ft. store serves as the Third Place for customers to connect with friends and family over a cup of coffee, while providing an on-the-go option for those traveling on Highway 5. The new drive-thru store reflects Starbucks commitment to enhance the customer experience in Barbados by fulfilling the growing demand for convenience and exceptionally crafted occasions.

“We are committed to finding new ways to enrich the Starbucks Experience, while delivering high-quality coffee that brings people together,” said Roxanne Dixon, Regional Director of Caribbean Coffee Baristas (Barbados) Limited. “This new store reinforces our dedication to customers, as we continue to offer convenient ways to enjoy Starbucks. We’re excited to serve this community and look forward to bringing more job opportunities to St. Philip.”

Starbucks cafés are the hallmark of the brand, nurturing human connection and focusing on customer experience, reflecting local culture, and enhancing urban and suburban neighborhoods alike. The store designers work hard to craft experiences that honor the integrity of the neighborhoods Starbucks Barbados serves while ensuring that it meets the evolving needs of its customers. Celebrating the culture of coffee, the store features a mural that embodies an earthy tone, highlighting coffee flowers and leaves.

The new One Six Roads store, designed under the Greener Stores Framework , reflects Starbucks commitment to environmental sustainability, while pushing the brand to bring bold and innovative design to our customers. Through the integration of sustainable features such as 100% LED lighting, filters and low flow plumbing fixtures and processes, the store is designed to reduce water consumption by 30% and is energy efficient, while also promoting waste diversion through its Grounds for Your Garden program.

Through its commitment to integrate in the local community, Caribbean Coffee Baristas (Barbados) Limited continues to provide job opportunities in the market. Twelve store partners (employees) will operate from the One Six Roads location.

The store’s operating hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday.
