      • The dark-roasted, single-origin coffee from the mountainous region of Veracruz is the fifth Mexican coffee the company will sell both locally and to customers across Latin America and the Caribbean.<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n<\/body>\n\n

        Mexico City –<\/strong> Today, Starbucks announced the introduction of its first single-origin coffee from Veracruz, an eastern state bordering the Gulf of Mexico with a rich and unique coffee heritage. In celebration of the company\u2019s 20th<\/sup> anniversary of retail operations in Mexico, Starbucks\u00ae Las Monta\u00f1as Veracruz will be available in all stores across the market. The coffee will also be on offer to customers across Starbucks stores in the Latin America and Caribbean region from August 22 until early November.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

        Starbucks\u00ae Las Monta\u00f1as Veracruz, M\u00e9xico <\/em>is grown in the state\u2019s southern mountainous region by Nahua coffee farmers. Coffee was first cultivated in Mexico over 200 years ago, and today Veracruz is one of the market\u2019s largest and most important coffee-growing regions. Each cup of this dark-roasted, single-origin coffee is a tribute to Veracruz\u2019s coffee legacy, featuring notes of piloncillo and toasted almond, with a pinch of cinnamon and a chocolaty body.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n\n

        \u201cStarbucks has a long history of sourcing and offering unique coffees from Mexico,\u201d said Bibiana Rosique, Marketing Director at Starbucks Mexico. \u201cAs we celebrate our 20th<\/sup> anniversary of retail presence in Mexico, we are honored to make a coffee from Veracruz available at Starbucks for the first time.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

        Starbucks Mexico\u2019s tribute to Veracruz also includes a limited-edition reusable cup featuring a design inspired by the region\u2019s coffee heritage and natural beauty, ranging from the majestic Pico de Orizaba, Mexico\u2019s highest mountain, to Jarocho coffee plantations set against a striking sunset. The reusable cup will be available in select stores starting August 22.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

        When purchasing the Veracruz limited-edition reusable cup, customers can order a Grande Espresso Americano made with Veracruz choice espresso at no additional cost. Customers in Mexico already receive an 8-peso discount every time they bring in a reusable cup for their beverage.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

        The uniqueness of Starbucks\u00ae Las Monta\u00f1as Veracruz, M\u00e9xico <\/em>whole bean coffee is represented in the design of its packaging and the limited-edition reusable cup, specially created by M\u00daRIC, two Mexican artists who have collaborated with Starbucks for the last 12 years, producing printed graphic materials, paintings and wood art for more than 450 Starbucks stores across Mexico.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

        \u201cThis Veracruz artwork is a tribute to the memories, nature, origins, and enduring need to return to where we first began,\u201d <\/em>said MURIC team members Mauricio Palacios and Sigrid Blancas. \u201cThe landscapes, shapes, and colors used honor the anteater\u2019s struggle. This species returned to the Jarocho coffee plantations after decades of absence. The winter lights and horizon behind Pico de Orizaba showcase the concept of infinity, a landscape that never disappears,\u201d they added.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n\n

        Starbucks\u00ae Las Monta\u00f1as Veracruz is the company\u2019s fifth Mexican coffee to be offered both within and outside of Mexico. Starbucks started selling its first Mexican coffee in the 1990s, then known as Starbucks Shade Grown Mexico, from the Sierra Madre de Chiapas Mountain range; this variety is now called Chiapas. Starbucks Reserve Finca Nuevo M\u00e9xico arrived in 2014, while Starbucks Reserve Mexico Finca Nueva Esperanza arrived in 2016, followed by the last release of Starbucks Mexico Oaxaca in 2021.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

        As part of Starbucks Mexico\u2019s 20th<\/sup> anniversary celebration, the company will also release a limited-edition merchandise collection, including coffee cups and thermos for cold and hot beverages, a Starbucks card, and a Bearista keychain.
