        Mexico City<\/strong> \u2013 During the month ofApril, Starbucks Mexico will celebrate Earth Month as well as the company\u2019s annual Global Month of Good, an initiative that brings together non-profit organizations, partners (employees) and customers in volunteering activities to create a positive impact in the communities where the brand has presence. This year, Starbucks Mexico will focus efforts on environmental causes, including cleaning forests, rivers and beaches; reforesting ecosystems; and conserving species.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

        All across Mexico, at least one partner (employee) and one customer will come together to represent a store in 35 clean-up efforts that will happen in more than 60 cities across the market. This year, nearly 1,400 people will join over 26,000 volunteers (partners and customers) who have supported more than 2,800 causes in Mexico since 2011.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n\n

        \"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n

        As the company commemorates its 20th<\/sup> anniversary in the market, Starbucks Mexico partners and customers will join in environmental projects that include cleaning shorelines in Canc\u00fan, M\u00e9rida, Campeche and Veracruz; participating in reforestation efforts in Metepec in the State of Mexico, Desierto de los Leones, Chapultepec Parks and the chinampas (floating gardens) in Xochimilco, in Mexico City; and cleaning up the Pitillal River in Puerto Vallarta, Madero Park in Hermosillo, as well as R\u00edo de la Silla, and the Toltecas and Pipo Parks in Monterrey. Other activities include baby turtle releases in Acapulco and Los Cabos.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

        More than 10 institutions and organizations across the market will join the volunteer projects, such as “R\u00edos Limpios” (in support of reforestation in Xochimilco), the “Asociaci\u00f3n Giro 180 degrees AC” (in cleaning beaches in Canc\u00fan) and \u201cEl Tocuz\u201d (in support of reforestation of the Bancal in Morelia), among others.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

        Global Month of Good<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

        For the past 11 years, Starbucks has celebrated its Global Month of Good in April, encouraging partners (employees), around the world to strengthen their local communities \u2013 in big and small ways. <\/em>Starbucks Mexico has supported a range of organizations in past years, including visiting the Telethon\u2019s Children\u2019s Rehabilitation Institute (CRIT) and orphanages; preparing basic pantry baskets for food banks such as Bancos de Alimentos de M\u00e9xico, delivering food and coffee to frontline health workers, during the COVID-19 pandemic, or to first responders serving people affected by Hurricane Delta.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

        \u201cWe appreciate the passion and dedication of our partners (employees) who have volunteered to make an impact, serve others and give back to our communities.
