    SStarbucks Mexico, operated by Alsea, will wrap up its 2025 \u201cTodos Sembramos Caf\u00e9\u201d fundraising campaign with the launch of a commemorative Bearista (barista bear) keychain. Available nationwide starting August 25 and only while supplies last, each purchase will enable Starbucks Mexico to donate a coffee plant to support coffee-growing communities in Chiapas, Oaxaca, Puebla and Veracruz.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

    \u201cEach plant delivered represents a story of growth and teamwork among our customers, partners (employees), and coffee farmers. This campaign and this new keychain are examples of how collective action can create a profound impact on the communities that grow the coffee we all enjoy every day,\u201d<\/em> said Sarai Jim\u00e9nez, director of Brand Construction and Reputation at Starbucks Mexico.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n\n

    Renewing coffee farms to harvest a better future<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

    More than 20,000 coffee-growing families now have access to coffee plants that are more resistant to coffee rust, one of the most aggressive diseases affecting this crop worldwide. Thanks to this effort, entire communities are protecting their livelihoods and renewing hope for a prosperous future centered on coffee.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

    Eleven years ago, after a visit to the high-altitude coffee-growing region of Tenango, Chiapas, Starbucks saw the urgent need to support farmers facing the first impacts of coffee rust in Mexico and the effects of climate change. From that encounter, \u201cTodos Sembramos Caf\u00e9\u201d was born\u2014an initiative designed as a concrete response to renew coffee farms, strengthen productivity, and generate new opportunities for coffee-growing communities.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n\n

    Today, thanks to the technical support of Starbucks Farmer Support Center (FSC) in Chiapas and the free distribution of these rust-resistant plants, farmers have a real opportunity to restore their crops, improve harvests, and build a more stable future for their families.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

    The FSC provides personalized consulting, workshops, field visits, and ongoing training\u2014key tools in areas such as pest management, sustainable fertilization, regenerative agricultural practices, and efficient farm administration.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

    This support improves the quality and resilience of their production in the long term, as highlighted by Don Pablo, a coffee farmer from Zongozotla, Puebla, who recently received more than 4,000 plants donated by Starbucks. \u201cThe goal this year is to increase productivity; I want to double this year\u2019s harvest and further strengthen my community\u2019s coffee-growing legacy<\/em>,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

    A long-term commitment<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

    With this year\u2019s results, Starbucks Mexico has donated a total of 5.6 million coffee plants since the program began in 2014, as part of its long-term commitment to the Mexican countryside and the strengthening of coffee-growing communities.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

    \u201cTodos Sembramos Caf\u00e9\u201d is one of Starbucks Mexico\u2019s most representative initiatives for more ethical, sustainable, and responsibly sourced coffee. Since its inception, it has directly contributed to the regeneration of coffee farmland in Mexico. Through the implementation of better agricultural practices and technical support, participating farms have strengthened their productive resilience, increasing their ability to maintain output in the face of pests, diseases, and the effects of climate change.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n
