Lima, Peru \u2014 <\/strong>With the goal of continuing to build a more sustainable future of coffee for all, Starbucks Peru \u2014 operated by Delosi \u2014 today launches a new edition of its \u201cTodos Somos Caf\u00e9\u201d (\u201cWe are All Coffee\u201d) campaign. Now in its 4th<\/sup> year, this initiatve aims to improve the livelihoods of Peruvian coffee farmers and strengthen sustainability throughout the value chain at origin. This year, the focus will be on supporting the coffee-growing community of Tingo Mar\u00eda, Hu\u00e1nuco, through concrete actions that enhance productivity, improve access to technology, and promote environmental care.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

A Coffee-Growing Nation<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

Peru ranks among the top 10 coffee exporters globally. Currently, 90% of the market\u2019s coffee is cultivated by smallholder farmers on plots of less than five hectares. Over 223,000 families rely directly on coffee farming, and the industry supports more than 2 million jobs in 16 regions. Coffee is not only a key economic driver but also a deep expression of cultural identity.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

Since its launch in 2019, \u201cTodos Somos Caf\u00e9\u201d has created lasting impact in communities such as Pangoa (Jun\u00edn), Ja\u00e9n (Cajamarca), and Quillabamba (Cusco). This year, Tingo Mar\u00eda joins the list of regions supported by the program.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n\n

How Can You Help?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

From July 21 to August 22, Starbucks will donate a percentage of proceeds from every bag of Starbucks\u00ae Peru Whole Bean Coffee sold and every handcrafted beverage made with Peruvian coffee. This initiative aims to contribute to the development of the coffee-growing community in Tingo Mar\u00eda, a region vital to the country’s coffee industry.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

\u201cEvery cup of coffee tells a story that begins in the hands of farmers. At Starbucks, we believe in honoring that origin by supporting those who, with dedication and passion, make this journey possible\u201d,<\/em> said Cristel Delgado, Country Manager for Starbucks Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

Supporting Farmers Through Access to Water Technology<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

As part of this joint effort, Starbucks has donated Ecoline systems, which enable a more efficient and sustainable use of water in the coffee washing process. In addition, Starbucks Peru will complement this initiative by donating composting units and water treatment systems. These efforts are intended to promote environmentally responsible agricultural practices and improve the quality of life for local coffee farmers.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

Water is essential in the coffee production process. It is needed for pulping, fermenting, and washing coffee. Without sufficient or clean water, farmers face losses in quality, profitability, and sustainability. The new Ecoline systems will reduce water use by at least 90%.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

From Bean to Heart: A Journey of Transformation for Starbucks Green Apron Partners<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

One of the most meaningful actions of this campaign is a volunteer trip taken by Starbucks Peru partners (employees) to the coffee-growing regions. During this journey, partners personally deliver the donations, spend time with local coffee farmers, and learn firsthand how to plant, harvest, and process coffee\u2014connecting deeply with the heart of the bean.<\/p>\n<\/body>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
