        Lima, Peru \u2013<\/strong> Building on its aspiration to ensure a sustainable future of coffee for all, Starbucks Peru \u2013 managed by licensed retail operator Delosi \u2013 today announced an expansion of its support Peruvian coffee growers in Jun\u00edn as part of its \u201cTodos somos caf\u00e9\u201d (\u201cWe Are All coffee\u201d) campaign. The campaign, which began in 2019, seeks to impact the lives of coffee growers, share their stories, and strengthen the special connection between customers and Peruvian coffee.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

        Starbucks is celebrating its 20th<\/sup> anniversary in Peru by supporting local coffee growers in Jun\u00edn through the \u201cTodos somos Caf\u00e9\u201d campaign. These coffee growers have faced complicated situations in recent years, including heavy rains causing significant losses in their production. For each bag of whole bean coffee sold in all Starbucks stores in the market between May 15 and June 11, Starbucks Peru will donate a portion of the profits to source 40 coffee drying beds and a coffee quality lab for the community of Pangoa in Jun\u00edn and the remaining balance will be donated by Starbucks Corporation.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

        This will have a significant impact on the quality of coffee production, as it will allow local coffee growers to better evaluate important characteristics of the coffee, such as aroma, flavor, and acidity.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

        \u201cAs we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Starbucks in Peru, we remain committed to supporting Peruvian coffee growers and promoting a sustainable supply chain in coffee production. With this donation, we are not only helping to improve the quality of Peruvian coffee production, but also the working conditions of local coffee growers. This is an important step towards building a more sustainable and equitable coffee industry in Peru,” commented Cristel Delgado, manager of Starbucks Peru.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n

        Through this initiative, Starbucks Peru invites partners (employees) and customers to join in supporting Peruvian coffee growers, deepening connections across the bean to cup journey. It also reinforces the company’s commitment to protecting the planet we share. By improving the working conditions of coffee communities, Starbucks strives to ensure optimal performance in the coffee supply chain, helping to protect the environment and preserve natural resources for future generations.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n
