The new location will open at the\u00a0Amazonia Mall near\u00a0Guyana\u2019s capital city of Georgetown and will welcome local customers with signature handcrafted coffee beverages prepared by passionate green apron baristas.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n<body><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Guyana will be Starbucks 23<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0market in Latin America and the Caribbean and 85<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0market globally, demonstrating the company\u2019s long-term commitment to and investment in the region where it expects to\u00a0open approximately 120 additional new stores by the end of the year. Last week, Starbucks achieved its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/historias.starbucks.com\/en-es\/press\/2023\/starbucks-opens-first-drive-thru-store-in-dominican-republic-with-expansion-to-punta-cana\/\">1,600th\u00a0store milestone<\/a>\u00a0in the region,\u00a0providing\u00a0employment opportunities for over 22,000 green apron partners (employees).<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n<body><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSince entering the region in 2002, Latin America and the Caribbean has been integral to Starbucks business and continues to be key to our international growth,\u201d said Michael Conway, Starbucks group president, International and Channel Development. \u201cOur market entry into Guyana allows us to bring the <em>Starbucks Experience <\/em>focused on connection and personalized moments to even more customers.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n<body><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new location in Guyana will be operated by Prestige Holdings, Starbucks trusted licensed business operator, which has managed the brand\u2019s locations in Trinidad &amp; Tobago for more than seven years.
